What's this all about?
We love whole grains! We have found that we prefer their flavor. They are also far healthier than the refined foods which characterize the typical modern diet.
Switching to whole grains helps maintain a low glycemic diet. That means you will have more sustainable energy levels throughout the day, and probably fewer problems with weight control.
We created this website with one goal: to build an online community of like-minded people who either share our enthusiasm about whole grains or just want to learn more about them.

By now you've heard the news...for a myriad of reasons, it is important to eat more whole grains. They are an excellent source of antioxidants and are believed to lower triglyceride levels. They are associated with a reduction in the risk of heart disease and cancer. They are a great source of dietary fiber, minerals, and many B Vitamins, including folic acid. They can reduce the severity of asthma and the frequency of migraine headaches. They have been shown to aid in weight management and reduce the risk of diabetes. In spite of the overwhelming evidence of the abundant benefits of whole grains, many people have not found effective ways to integrate whole grains into their daily diet. Perhaps whole grain cooking seems complicated, expensive, or inconvenient. It doesn't have to be that way. Our family's staple whole grain, the one we fall back on when we aren't feeling particularly creative, is brown rice. We prepare it in the Brazilian style which results in a loose grain that is aromatic and flavorful, and has excellent texture. The added garlic is subtle and will not overpower or compete with other flavors on your plate. This simple recipe may be just what you need to bring more nutrient packed whole grains into your life, the easy way.
