What’s this all about?
We love whole grains! We have found that we prefer their flavor. They are also far healthier than the refined foods which characterize the typical modern diet.
Switching to whole grains helps maintain a low glycemic diet. That means you will have more sustainable energy levels throughout the day, and probably fewer problems with weight control.
We created this website with one goal: to build an online community of like-minded people who either share our enthusiasm about whole grains or just want to learn more about them.

We are occasionally approached about adding nutritional analysis to each recipe. We hope these few words adequately addresses why you won’t find that information here.
As many have learned from the information which describes our website, we are a small family with young kids. Finding the time to contribute new content to the site is usually a challenge. When we do find spare time, we prefer to spend it working on and posting new recipes.
While access to nutritional info is certainly beneficial for some people, we take a more holistic approach to nutrition. That approach is characterize by preparing and consuming a variety of natural foods that are made with quality and nutritionally rich and diverse ingredients from trusted sources. Our family finds this to be the best approach to improving and maintaining our health through dietary practices.
There are various resources available online for calculating the nutritional composition of recipes. Some of those resources allow you to copy and paste recipes and then save the calculated results under an individual profile. A Google search should present several options. We encourage individuals with a need for that level of detailed analysis of the caloric breakdown of everything they consume to utilize those resources.
